Since October 1 of 2007, WOPI-CA, over-the-air analog Channel 9, has simulcast the programming of WKPT-DT3.  For the foreseeable future WOPI-CA, channel 9, will remain an analog station.  It will not cease analog broadcasting in February of 2009.  Low power TV stations, Class A TV stations (like WOPI-CA and WAPK-CA), and television translator stations, are not required to become digital-only in February, 2009, and most will continue to broadcast in analog form after full power stations are required to terminate their analog broadcasts.  A Closer Look (WKPT-DT 3 Public Affairs program) airs at 5:30 PM on Sundays.
